I'm sure the Pittsburgh Police weren't arguing with these people on their merits or how much they really care about other people. Look at it from a security perspective: eight large buses that can either make great targets or be large bombs. It would be take a lot of man power to inspect the buses and I'm sure even at that point people would still complain about police harassment.
I'll be the first to say that law enforcement officials can be pricks, but would you rather them not be there with the amount of attention given to this summit?
